Clinical effect of Lymph Node Dissection in the Lateral Neck for the treatment of Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma: Endoscopic Thyroidectomy versus Open Surgery
نویسندگان
چکیده
Objective: To compare the clinical effect, safety, and cosmetic effect of lymph node dissection via endoscopic thyroidectomy open surgery in treatment papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC).
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 86 patients with PTC admitted to Baoding No.1 Central Hospital from January 2020 December 2021. The enrolled were divided into (n = 34) 52) groups based different surgical methods. Further comparison conducted indexes, postoperative complications, changes oxidative stress numerical score system (NSS) satisfaction, scar length, recurrence rate between two groups.
Results: operation time longer, intraoperative blood loss lower for group than those (P < 0.05). indexes significantly better (P< complication that At six months after surgery, length shorter, NSS higher 0.05).
Conclusion: Endoscopic is safe effective, mild response, fewer good effect.

Thyroidectomy without lateral neck dissection for papillary thyroid carcinoma with lateral neck lymph node metastases and negative intraoperative frozen section.
BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to investigate the outcomes of patients with papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) with lateral neck metastasis according to their permanent pathology report but negative frozen section findings who did not undergo lateral neck dissection. METHODS Between September 2009 and December 2011, 575 patients at Gangnam Severance Hospital (Seoul, Korea) underwent fro...
متن کاملThyroidectomy and Lymph Node Dissection in Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma
Papillary carcinoma is a prominent malignancy originating from follicular cells. This disease generally shows an indolent character, but patients demonstrating certain clinicopathological features have a dire prognosis. At present, Western countries adopted almost routine total thyroidectomy with radioactive iodine (RAI) ablation, while limited thyroidectomy with extensive prophylactic lymph no...
متن کاملSentinel Lymph Node Biopsy as Guidance for Lateral Neck Dissection in Patients with Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma
Introduction: The surgical management of lateral lymph nodes in differentiated thyroid carcinoma is controversies. Therefore, we analyzed whether sentinel lymph nodes (SLN) biopsy of the first draining nodes in the jugulo-carotid chain is an accurate technique to select patients with true-positive but nonpalpable lymph nodes for selective lateral node dissection. Materials and Methods: From Jan...
متن کاملLymph node dissection in papillary thyroid carcinoma.
The management of papillary thyroid carcinoma continues to evolve. Although the debate over the extent of thyroidectomy has largely faded, the role of elective neck dissection in the surgical management of papillary thyroid cancer has become a topic of contention. The current standard of care for patients with papillary thyroid cancer includes total thyroidectomy and a therapeutic lymph node di...
متن کاملMacroscopic lymph-node involvement and neck dissection predict lymph-node recurrence in papillary thyroid carcinoma.
OBJECTIVE Whether lymph-node dissection (LND) influences the lymph-node recurrence (LNR) risk in patients with papillary thyroid cancer remains controversial. The prognostic impact of macroscopic and microscopic lymph-node involvement at diagnosis is also an unresolved issue. A retrospective study was conducted to assess the influence of various LND procedures and to search for LNR risk factors...
